Regional Winterization Progress Report - Syria and Iraq situations (Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, and Egypt) As of 31 January 2018

UNHCR developed a regional winterization plan for 2017-2018 based on the assessed needs of 3.81 million Syrian and Iraqi internally displaced persons (IDPs) and refugees in Syria, Turkey,
Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq and Egypt.

With the generous contributions received so far, UNHCR will provide support for up to 3.6 million Syrians and Iraqis during the winter months. The winterization programme covers the period from September 2017 to March 2018.

As of 31 January, over 3.4 million Syrians and Iraqis have been reached with winterization support. This includes 2.8 million Syrians and over 563,000 Iraqis.

3.6 million Syrian and Iraqi IDPs and refugees will be assisted with the contributions received so far.
