QNA

Qatar Charity and United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) have signed an agreement to provide emergency relief to the displaced Rohingyas in Myanmar.
The $500,000 agreement is expected to benefit 2,100 displaced people for six months.
The agreement was signed by executive director of Qatar Charity Yousif Ahmed Al Kuwari and UNHCR Regional Representative to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Khalid Khalifa. Under the agreement signed in Doha, UNHCR will set up 420 temporary shelters for Rohingyas in three districts of Rakhine and Kachin, with a value of up to $500,000 provided by Qatar Charity.
This cooperation comes at a time when the Rohingya Muslims are increasingly suffering because of the mounting campaign against them in recent days.
